BestSwipe ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account data: If you create an account, we store your email address and an authentication token via our backend provider (Supabase). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google OAuth.
Wallet data: The credit cards you add to your wallet are stored in our database so they sync across your devices. We store only the card name and type — never card numbers, expiration dates, CVVs, or any financial account information.
Community posts: Posts, replies, and votes you submit to the BestSwipe community are stored and publicly visible alongside your display name.
Analytics: We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Plausible) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. No personal data is collected by our analytics. We also track anonymous click events on card recommendation links to improve our service.
The BestSwipe Chrome extension stores your wallet locally in Chrome's built-in storage. If you sign in, your wallet syncs with our server using the same wallet data described above. The extension detects merchant websites you visit (from a predefined list of shopping, travel, and streaming sites) solely to show you the best card to use — we do not track, log, or transmit your browsing history.
We never collect credit card numbers, bank account details, Social Security numbers, or any sensitive financial information. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Your data is used exclusively to provide the BestSwipe service: syncing your card wallet, showing personalized recommendations, and powering community features. Aggregate analytics help us understand which features are most useful.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Community posts may be anonymized rather than deleted to preserve discussion continuity.
BestSwipe does not use tracking cookies. We use browser local storage to maintain your login session and preferences.
BestSwipe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
